Stainless steel shot as cut, which is also called for cylindrical stainless steel cut wire shots, is made by cutting stainless steel wires. The cylindrical cut wire shots have the shape edges during the cutting process.

The cylindrical stainless steel cut wire shots are used as blasting material in various industries such as castings, aluminium die castings, brass components and other metals on which carbon contamination is harmful.

Surface cleaned by stainless steel wire cut shots is exceptionally bright and smooth. Since cylindrical cut wire is whole-bodied shot with no scales or oxides present, it creates no dust and leave the surface clean and bright.

Stainless steel shots conditioned, which is also called for Spherical conditioned stainless steel cut wire shots, is made by stainless steel wire after cutting and conditioning process. During the process, we can obtained several conditioned forms G1 (normal conditioned), G2 (double conditioned) and G3 (special conditioned), where G3 is the perfect rounded particle.

Product Details:

Steel Shot S660 are spherical grains made of molten steel through an atomization (granulation) process; these cast steel shots are available in different sizes & hardness. Steel shots are manufactured from steel scrap. Our furnace is an electric furnace. Steel scrap is melted in the furnace then being atomized into the shot by water jet.

Cast Steel shots manufacturing process:

• Melting ( steel scrap + alloy)
• Atomizing (by high-pressure water jet)
• Drying
• Screening (separate the SAE shot size from the oversized shot particles used for grit production)
• Spiraling (remove irregularly shaped shot)
• Quenching (produce superior particle integrity with minimal stress cracks)
• Tempering
• Screening
• Packaging (25 KGS per one small pp bag)

Our Steel Shot is exceptionally durable – due to its low friability, the impact of blasting actually further tempers the shot so that its hardness increases over time, allowing the media to deliver consistent, repeatable performance over thousands of cycles. As produced, our Steel Shot has a hardness of 40-50HRC (390-510 H.V). And thanks to its extremely low breakdown rate, virtually no dust is produced. Delivering high-impact energy and fast cleaning rates, Steel Shot is used to for heavy scouring and to produce very bright finishes
